While outbreaks are generally bound to a geographic region (most recently Northern Virginia), they do not seem to be any more specifically geographically localized. No evidence has been collected which suggests the anomaly spreads via physical contact or proximity.
Within their immediate locales, incidents generally appear unique and isolated. Victims almost always live alone, rarely have contacts with others, and are often found well after the anomalistic process has concluded.
In this author’s opinion, the anomaly spreads as a defense mechanism of some sort of information virus, which infects the human mind in a similar manner to a computer virus. This theory will be elaborated upon alongside relevant documentation on other pages of this website.
